Thanks for the call earlier – please find below the information as requested.
Provisional Schedule: https://headofthedart.wordpress.com/schedule
When I last spoke to George (? apols my notes are at home) he mentioned that Dartmouth Rotary might only be able to help from around midday due to other commitments, I’m not sure if this is still the case or not. Either way, I have broken down the day into roughly 4hr slots.
I’ve attached as well a draft layout for Coronation Park keeping a clear line free for the life boat if it needs to go out, to give you an idea for the day.
I’m not sure if Dartmouth Rotary would like a stand at all, however there is space if you wish for one. We will hopefully have a catering truck from West Coast Catering so food / hot drinks will be available.
0800 to 1130 x 3 people · Car park marshal as people drop cars off · Help manage people onto coaches (pre-booked time slots) · Help putting up gazebos, flags and banners · People management – general queries · Keeping eye on equipment in Coronation Park as required NOTE: We will have at least 3 people from our sponsors (Red Paddle Co and Starboard) helping here as well.
1100 to 1500 x 3 or 4 people
· People management – general queries
· Keeping eye on equipment in Coronation Park
· Handing out finisher medals in return for handing back coloured bibs
· Crossing off bibs as they are returned
· Helping people across the road with their boards
· Keep spaces for the results team
NOTE: The results team myself and at least 2 others will arrive just before 1300, followed by the rest of the helpers as soon as they have finished packing up at the start.
1430 to 1830 x 3 or 4 people · Handing out finisher medals in return for handing back coloured bibs · Crossing off bibs as they are returned · Helping people across the road with their boards · Hand board bags back to paddlers who got the coach · Help de-rig of gazebos, take down flags etc
NOTE: The first paddlers are likely to be back at about 3pm and the last ones at about 4.30pm. We should have at least another 3 helpers and as people finish they tend to help as well.
Any queries please do not hesitate to ask as I’m happy to help.
