Know Your Blood Pressure day (KYBP)
We will be holding the annual Know Your Blood Pressure day (KYBP) on SATURDAY 6th APRIL, in association with the Stroke Association.
This year we are back in the Community Corner in the Market Square.
Nick Hindmarsh will be leading the event, which will be open to the public from 10 a.m. until 2p.m.
As in previous years I am asking for your assistance in making this National Event a success, which is run in conjunction with the Stroke Association & ourselves, with the generous support of Dartmouth Caring.
We are looking to run the event in two shifts – from 09.30 until 12.00 and from 12.00 until 14.30.
For EACH shift we need 3 Administrative Assistance and 4 “Street Walkers”.
The Admin. Assistants will be responsible for registering members of the public & to ensure a smooth operation, from registration through to actual BP assessment, undertaken by qualified staff recruited by Dartmouth Caring, to offering refreshments (Tea/Coffee & biscuits) .
The Street Walkers will be tasked with approaching the public & encouraging them to participate in the event, showing the where to go, handing out leaflets regarding the Stroke Ass. & the KYBP Event. In this regard we have always found the easiest way to approach the public & encourage them to be involved is to use the opening gambit … “Good Morning, I am not after your money today but to offer you the opportunity to etc., etc. Plus the offer of a free cup of Tea/Coffee & a biscuit”.
Together let’s ensure we have another successful day in supporting our Local Community.
