We hired 2x 7.5 tonne vans from uDrive, supported by a free “overflow” LWB transit (which came in very useful, as the “scout van” racing off ahead for an additional collection en-route).
Vans collected early Saturday morning with the collection from the outskirts of Exeter shortly after.
On route to Gloucester, one of the big vans broke down on us (full of kit) at the services, with the dashboard doing a disco warning of Coolant, which needed the AA
Delivery was finally made and the vehicles all returned, but it was a long day for all with some not returning home till at least 10pm.
Thanks to Rotarians, Mike Freeman, Trevor Branton, Alan Depledge, Peter Shaw, Peter Goldstraw. With Assistance from Nathan Ayres (from Apollo) and a random stranger, Colin Hewes who answered a plea via Twitter.
